Day Sunday
Date 31/01/2016
Start Time 10:00 am
Walk Name The Limb Valley and Porter Clough
Description A lovely walk from Whirlow Brook Park, starting up the Limb Valley before climbing steeply over the ridge and descending towards the Porter Valley. We then pass the millponds of the Porter Valley, once the hub of 18thC industry, as we climb up to Ringinglow. on the edge of the Peak National Park. From here we return down the Limb Valley before heading through ancient woodlands back up to the start. There are hills to climb but the lovely views of Sheffield and beyond make the effort very worthwhile.

There are two main steep ascents. Whilst the paths in the two valleys are generally good in normal conditions, once we leave these the ground can be rough, muddy and slippery in places, particularly if wet or icy. Route may vary depending on weather conditions. Please check message board (http://s40wg.proboards.com/) for updates or changes.
