Walk Name Dale Dike -- Another Dam
Description A reasonably strenuous walk around the countryside surrounding two north Sheffield reservoirs but worth it for the glorious views of the moors, reservoirs and more....The walk passes the site of the first Dale Dike Reservoir Dam which burst in March 1864 causing T'Flood.
Low Bradfield - Wilkin Hill - Dale Road - Dale Dike Reservoir - Sheffield Country Walk - Sugworth Road - Lodge Moor - Ughill Moor - Andrew Wood - Bradfield Dale - Dale Dyke - Low Bradfield
There are two relatively steep ascents and descents but not too difficult. The ground is likely to be rough, muddy and slippery in places, particularly if wet or icy. Route may vary depending on conditions

Well behaved dogs kept on short fixed leads held by considerate owners welcome. There are young animals and birds in the countryside at this time of year. Owners should follow the Law and Countryside code. Please let me know if you are bringing a dog.
