| Description | This is a linear walk starting at Meadowhall and ending at Eckington. It follows section 8,9 and 10 of the Sheffield Country Walk around the edge of Sheffield along Tinsley Canal, passing Treeton, the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reserve at Woodhouse Waslands, Rother Valley Country Park and Killamarsh. There is one hill along the way, 70 Acre Hill near the old Sheffield City Airport. It is possible to break off at any point along the way where there are bus services. There are buses back to Sheffield from Eckington (15A, 49, 50, 53, 53A, 70, 70A, 73, 120, 252) or the tram at Halfway, which is a 20 minute walk from Eckington. |
