| Description | A very mixed terrain walk, can be difficult in places and boggy in some areas. Starting from Bakewell we take the Monsal Trail to Monsal Head, then along Monsal Dale, Deep Dale and ascent to Sheldon. Finally, Over Haddon and return to Bakewell. Walk is suitable for experienced B/C walkers. |

| Start Point Details | Entrance to Smith's Island car park, Bakewell. From the A619, turn into Station Road just before the Bridge then right into Coombs Road. Take the first right turning (Rutland Mews) and follow the road down to the car park at the end. The long stay car park is round to the left and costs £4 for the day. NB: It closes at 6:00pm but should not be a problem as expect to complete the walk 4:30ish. Free car parking on Coombs road lower down but can be muddy. Also free parking on Station Road. (Please text if you are running late for the 10.00am start) |
