| Description | From Winster we head to Darley Bridge then take the footpath to Oaker village. This section of path is quite flat, then it's the river footpath into Matlock where we will stop for a coffee or icecream in the park.. We then follow the Limestone Way to Bonsall village. This is a sharp steep section but once out of Matlock you get great views. Lunch stopwill be in Bonsill village where you can have tea & cake at the café or take a picnic and eat it in the park on the grass. Then it's a short climb up the mine field (old lead mines) and back to Winster across open grazing land. |
