| Description | We head down Station Road into Bakewell and follow the river towards Holme Hall and up the short rise onto pasture land and head out to Toll Bar House (near Hassop Station). We then head to Buskey Cottage and then along Mires Lane into Great Longstne where we will have a coffee stop at St Giles Church yard, please don't wake the residents. We then head up onto Longstone Edge and to Black Harry Gate and up the lane to Cavendish Mill then over pasture land to Housley where we will pick up Tideswell Lane and head into Eyam for lunch. We walk out of Eyam via the closed off road and head down to the river at Froggat Bridge and follow the river path till we get to the top end of Baslow (Budnell Hall) and head over pasture land to Pilsley ( don't forget to look out for an E and an R). Not long after Pilsley we have a stretch of lane walking which takes us back to the old train station in Bakewell - The End. |
