| Description | Park at Birchen Clough car park, we then take the Roman Road through the trees to Blackden View Farm, cross at Alport Bridge and then a short, sharp climb up to Blackden Edge. We'll follow the path all along the edge until the junction of the Pennine Way, and return via the River Ashop and Ashop Clough (may be wet and muddy unless a heat wave is in store, so good boots / gaiters recommended). Finally up through the trees to the car park. |
