| Description | A late autumn walk in the White Peak, taking us over the hills and through the dales around the River Wye with great views, Starting from the classic view point of Monsal Head we head towards Great Longstone before heading south with fine views towards Bakewell. We then follow the River Wye towards Ashford and then onwards through Great Shacklow woods, before crossing the A6 into Monsal Dale. The walk ends with an uphill section back to Monsal Head to enjoy its fine views before heading for well-earned refreshments! A couple of steep ascents and descents but worth it for the views!
