Walk Name Derwent delight (or deluge...depending on the weather)
Description A steady walk to Ashopton Viaduct, passing through Ladybower Wood.
Across the viaduct, then up to Crookhill Farm and across the pasture, giving extensive views of the Vale of Edale and beyond on a clear day.
Through the coppice down to Fairholmes for a lunch stop. Past Derwent Dam, along the reservoir then a short but steep climb up Grindle Clough, following the bridleway to Whinstone Lee Tor, an excellent view point. We then follow the bridleway downhill across the moor back to the car park. Choice of 2 pubs close by for anyone staying for a drink.

Additional Information There are two fairly steep hills on this walk, but a nice long break in between! It is likely to be muddy in places at this time of year.
If conditions are poor on the day it could be necessary to alter the route.
