Description From Fox House, past the Longshaw visitor center (toilets available) then though the estate grounds, take in the views from Tumbling Hill. Down through Hay Wood towards Grindleford then along the River Derwent, on to Padley Chapel. Up the steep mining ramp to Bole Hill Quarry (disused since 1914), down to Padley Gorge/ Burbage Brook then up to the Longshaw pond and back to Fox House.

Start Point Fox House
Start Point Details By car - the car park (free) is located adjoining the Fox House Inn on A6187. Please park near the road before the closed public toilets and not in the pub's car park spaces. However, if the Fox House car park is very busy, there are also spaces by the main road adjacent to Fox House Inn or in the nearby National Trust Longshaw car park.
