| Walk Name | Redmires Reservoirs |
| Description | The walk begins along the deserted flanks of Rud Hill above the Redmires Reservoirs, and then loops back through the mixed woodlands above the neighbouring Rivelin Valley. Starting at the junction of Brown Hills Lane / Soughley Lane, we ascend Rud Hill and then descend towards the reservoirs, eventually proceeding along the roadway at the edge of the westernmost reservoir. We then climb again adjacent to Brown Edge, before descending towards Head Stone Bank. We then ascend the side of the valley to Ash Cabin Flat before descending to the car park near the start point. Along the route the path is partly overgrown in places and the surface of the path is uneven and steep in parts. There are several fairly steep ascents. |
