| Walk Name | Uphill and downhill, Peak Forest to Castleton |
| Description | Route: We leave Peak Forest in a northerly direction, going through farmland where we approach and view an old mining area. From there we go over moorland to take in an early view of Hope Valley and Mam Tor. Winnats Pass is the next dramatic experience as we walk the full length down to Castleton (lunch break and a chance of getting a proper cup of tea). Leave via Cave Dale, a tricky climb if wet, as we know. At the top we cross undulating grassy moorland through to the Limestone Way and down to Peak Forest via the tree lined Oxlow Rake |
