| Description | From Hope we follow the riverside path to Castleton and then climb steeply through Cave Dale to high pastures above the village. Level walking along tracks provides some respite before we climb to the summit of Mam Tor. We then descend to the ancient crossing point at Hollins Cross before climbing Back Tor followed by a brief descent before another climb to Lose Hill summit. We finally descend back to Hope through fields. Several stiles and some steep climbs but well worth it for the amazing views. |

| Start Point Details | Hope Pay and Display car park in centre of Hope on A6187 to Castleton nr pedestrian crossing (cost £5 ish per day). Meet on corner of the car park near toilets. If you arrive early enough there is usually some free roadside parking available in Hope |
