| Description | We will walk from Mam Nick down to Edale. Toilets are available here at the car park although they are expected to be busy as it is Edale Country show. We will walk through Edale and along the Pennine Way to Upper Booth and up the steep ascent of Jacob's Ladder. We will then walk up to and across Brown Knoll and back along Rushup Edge to Mam Nick. The views of the Edale valley are fabulous on a clear day. Please note this walk includes the steep ascent of Jacob's Ladder. |

| Start Point Details | Mam Nick car park, a couple of miles further on from Castleton if travelling from Sheffield area. NB: Parking is free for National Trust members. Car park charges are £3 for the day, there is alternative free road side parking nearby. |

| Additional Information | This walk takes place before the Stand up for The Planet event on Mam Tor Ridge which will be from 16.00 to 17.00. People will be linking arms along the Mam Tor Ridge Line. They hope to raise awareness of the need for more ambitious environmental actions to protect our wonderful landscape. I will be joining this separate event after the walk and it would be great if anyone else wants to come. There is expected to be a van open selling hot drinks and cakes in the car park which we can go to after the walk while waiting for the event to start. Please note it is expected to be very busy around Mam Tor at this time.
