| Walk Name |
A Trig & a Black Harry Walk |
| Description |
We head West out of the village & head onto Little Moor & on to Stanley House where we head then towards Brosterfield farm and walk along the road towards Housley House and cross farm land towards Castlegate Stud Farm. We then take paths leading into Wardlow then take the path to Cressbrook Dale where we keep high and head to the top of Wardlow Hay Cop where we will find Wardlow trig point, we'll stop to take in the views then head down the hill and onto the lane heading up to the main road. We have a very short section of road to walk, no pavement only the grass verge so look out for traffic. We cross the road at the top of the brow and onto farmland then onto Longstone Moor & Longstone Moor Farm & Blakedon Hollow before arriving at Black Harry where we'll have lunch. After lunch it's up the lane and onto Cavendish Mill across Burnt Heath and onto Housley and back along the road into Foolow for a well earned pint or two. Sign up early for a great day out ☺
