| Walk Name | Hope and Castleton |
| Description | We leave Hope to walk through fields to Brough taking in the ancient Roman Fort Navio along the way. We then head round to Aston and over Killhill bridge en route to Losehill Hall and the Hollowford Centre. Past Dunscar farm we head for Speedwell Cavern and then walk through Castleton and along the river back to Hope. A lovely walk traversing the two sides of a valley along farmland paths, tracks and minor roads, most of which are nearly flat. Several stiles but all easy to negotiate. The ground is rough and rocky in places and can be muddy and slippery if wet so please ensure you have suitable footwear. |
