Day Sunday
Date 01/12/2019
Start Time 10:00 am
Walk Name Dale Dyke Reservoir and Ughill Moor
Description An undulating walk around and above Dale Dyke reservoir and Ughill Moor which on a good day offers plenty of viewpoints to admire stunning panoramas across the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire Peak District. A varied route with fields, woods, paths, tracks and several stiles.

From Low Bradfield we follow the footpath along the top side of Dale Dyke to Brogging at the edge of Strines reservoir and then head steeply up to Boots Folly where we enjoy a stunning outlook over both reservoirs.

Our route then takes us along Sugworth Edge, through the grounds of Sugworth Hall, on to and around Lodge Moor and across Ughill Moor heading back down towards the opposite side of Dale Dyke. A pleasant walk along the riverside path takes us back to Low Bradfield for a well earned drink in the Plough.

The ground is rough and rocky in places and may be muddy and slippery so please ensure you have suitable footwear.
