Walk Name Gleadless Valley
Description Join Mick & Lyn for a scenic tram ride to Herdings Park and then a circular walk around the Gleadless Valley. Starting with some dramatic views of Sheffield the walk descends through ancient woodland and crosses from Mercia to Northumbria whilst spotting signs of old industries and simultaneously meandering past some of the modern estate, which attracted national and international interest as first-rate housing and amenities, uniquely placed in a farmland setting, before arriving back at Herdings Park via the roving trig point .
Finish with a tram ride back to the station and refreshments in the Sheffield Tap.
