| Description | From The Grouse Inn we'll be heading for Froggatt Edge. Once on the edge we walk half way along then take a path up onto White Edge and the trig point, this is the place where we will most likely find a Haggis or two. Then it's across White Edge and drop down to the Curbar Gap car park, coffee & snack van is usually here. After a short coffee break we head out onto Baslow Edge, at the end of the edge we head down the road and pick up the path running below Baslow Edge and towards Curbar village. We then take the path below Curbar Edge and head down into Froggatt village and onto Grindleford village. We then head up the hill through Hay Wood and back to the Grouse inn for beers. |

Toilets at Grindleford church or behind any wall, bush or tree. Please do not disturb the locals. Yes - Dogs welcome, but on short leads - be aware the walk crosses several fields that usually have grazing stock and weary Haggis . Usual terms & conditions apply - no animals knowingly harmed on this walk - we operate a catch & release program - kilts worn with care. Drinks in The Grouse Inn afterwards. There is another walking group starting from the same point - hence the earlier start. Please note parking maybe an issue |
