| Description | On this walk we enjoy the best of both worlds . Firstly, an invigorating walk along three of the finest gritstone edges of North East Derbyshire with breathtaking panoramas followed by a pleasant stroll along the Derwent Valley. From the Grouse Inn we traverse Froggatt, Curbar and Baslow Edges, turning downhill to then walk below Baslow Edge before descending to Curbar A picturesque walk along the river takes us to Froggatt and then on to Grindleford. A very steep climb through the National Trust woodland of Haywood then takes back to the Grouse for a well deserved pint. The ground may be muddy and slippery in places so please wear/carry suitable clothing and footwear for all conditions.. |
