Walk Name Only a two trig walk.
Description We head out of the car park and head into the village for a very short distance where we then cross over the road & head down a lane and across farm & woodland till we head up to Greatclose (this area is know for sightings of the Black Deer so keep quiet & have your eyes peeled). We then head across & into Clough Wood and keep going till we meet up with Oldfield Lane where we take the path through the woods and head to the top end of Darley Bridge and the church. We then have a short but steep climb to the top of Oaker Hill and head to the trig 'Oaker Hill' we will have lunch here. After lunch we carry on along the top of the hill heading down and pick up a path heading to Darley Bridge & onto Darley Dale & Churchtown village. We carry on the footpath which runs along side the railway (dismantled railway) which takes us into Rowsley (lunch stop). We then head out and along the lane to Stanton Woodhouse and carry on to the top where we come out at the Nine Ladies Stone Circle. We are now on Stanton Moor (second trig of the day) the trig is called Moor Plantations, thanks for asking. We skirt around Birchover on the way back to Winster village
