| Description | A good all-round walk firstly climbing up on to Wadsley Common and traversing the ridge to Holdworth where we enjoy outstanding views across the valley to Dungworth, Bradfield and towards Malin Bridge. Descending from Holdworth to walk the shore of Dam Flask reservoir we then walk through a long section of the Loxley Valley with all its industrial history. On to Low Matlock and back to the car park via Loxley Common. A mixture of paths including heathland, farm tracks and field and riverside paths. Some climbing and a few stiles but nothing too difficult. The ground is very uneven in places and may be muddy and slippery so please ensure you have suitable footwear. |
