| Description | Starting at Minninglow car park, the route crosses the A5012 at Pikehall, then descends the length of Pikehall Dale before joining Long Dale and then goes north along Gratton Dale. From Dale End the route goes past Lowfields Farm and then follows Rowlow Brook, before continuing south to re-join Long Dale and then Pikehall Dale. Crossing the A5012 again, the walk continues in a westerly direction, eventually joining the High Peak Trail back to the car park. Along the route the path is partly overgrown in places and the surface of the path is uneven, steep and potentially slippery/muddy in parts. There are several ascents. Extra care to be taken to maintain required social distancing when crossing the busy A5012. 20 walkers maximum. |
