| Description |
A walk with spectacular views of Matlock and beyond from both sides of the valley. Starting at Matlock Spa Road we climb to the Heights of Abraham and on to Bonsall. We drop steeply through Slaley down to the Via Gellia. Climbing again steeply up Groaning Tor we head towards Middleton and join the High Peak Trail towards Black Rock where we will stop for lunch. We then drop all the way down to High Peak Junction and along the canal for a short distance to Lea Bridge. We then climb up to Riber and enjoy the magnificent views before heading back to Matlock. |
