| Walk Name | The Trespass Trail |
| Description | The Mass Trespass on Kinder Scout 90 years ago has been described as the most significant event in the battle for the ‘Right to Roam’ on Britain’s mountains and moors - a right now enshrined in the 2000 Countryside and Rights of Way Act. The Trespass Trail is a long, pleasant walk from Hayfield taking in most of the important locations which featured in the build up to, and events of, the 1932 Mass Trespass. The route takes us along the Sett Valley Trail to New Mills before crossing the impressive Millennium Walkway over to Hague Bar, Whitle and Hollinsmoor. We then follow part of the Goyt Way, passing by Rowarth (and a swift half at the Little Mill Inn if the weather’s good!) and Little Hayfield before heading up Middle Moor and William Clough for a short time. We retrace our steps back down to Kinder Reservoir and back to Hayfield via the Kinder Road and whichever pub takes our fancy. |
