| Walk Name | Exploring the Sheaf valley |
| Description | This is a circular walk exploring woods and quiet residential roads on each side of the Sheaf. I hope we will be able to still enjoy the bluebells. The route is undulating, made up of short ascents and descents. We start by heading south and upstream on the valley side to the west of the Sheaf as far as Abbey Lane. We take in part of Brincliffe Edge Woods and Carterknowle park as well as a substantial section of Ecclesall Wood. We return north along the valley side to its east, using Hutcliffe woods and the paths around the edge of Hutcliffe crematorium. We end using Little London Road to get back to our start. We will probably finish with a drink at the Broadfield pub. |
