| Description | We’ll catch the tram from the Station tram stop just after 10am to Spring Lane at Arbourthorne with its excellent panorama of Sheffield and an overview of much of the route. From Arbourthorne we’ll head down into Heeley and cross Meers Brook, into Mercia, and climb up to the top of Meersbrook Park for great views of the city as we walk down to cross the Sheaf at Broadfield and, back in Northumbria, we climb up through Nether Edge and the Kenwood Estate to Sharrow Lane Top and down by the General Cemetery, crossing Porter Brook, to reach the lower entrance to the Botanical Gardens. We head up towards Broomhill then down through Crookesmoor and Neepsend before climbing up to Pitsmoor, and turning more or less 90deg, looking out over the Lower Don Valley as we drop down to cross the Don into Attercliffe and climb again up to Manor Park and Arbourthorne and catch the tram back.
