| Description | From the car park, we go across the dam and then make a progressive ascent of Win Hill then across to Hope Cross descending the Woodland Valley to Haggwater Bridge and then across Hagg Side to Fairholmes (possible refreshments and public conveniences). Walking in front of the Derwent Dam, we cross to the east side of Upper Derwent Reservoir before ascending to the Lost Lad on the Derwent Edge. Another good high level bimble brings us to Whinstone Tor and we descend towards A57 via Lead Hill then cross the road to the car park at Heatherdene. After walk refreshments at Angler’s Rest. |

| Start Point Details | Car Parking at Heatherdene is P&D and can fill up fairly quickly at weekends. There is some on street parking nearby, but this too can be filled soon. Parking in this area can be difficult Please arrive early.
