Socials and Weekends Away (Click here for socials archive)
As the weekends away and meals out are always oversubscribed and tend to fill up almost as soon as they hit the website, we have to restrict them to current members of SWG40s. However, everyone is welcome on a pub night out, especially if you are new to the group or you are thinking about joining us.
Before booking onto a weekend, please read the weekends away booking information on the FAQ Page.

Jersey Walking Weekend, May Day Bank Holiday
Date: 4-6 May 2019
Details: *** Limited places remaining, please call Mark to check availability before booking flights and accommodation ***
I joined S40 in May 18, having relocated from Jersey, and I have been made truly welcome, thank you all. I would love for you to join me on a walking weekend in Jersey, an island I have enjoyed calling home for the past 12 years.
We are heading off to Jersey, to enjoy the coastal paths, and some Jersey Hospitality. We will plan at least two walks over the three days – on the very rugged coastal paths of the island. We will arrange walks – distances, etc when we have a clear idea of the interests and abilities of the group.
There will be opportunities for a little sight-seeing for those who don’t want to walk on all three days.
Flights are available daily from Doncaster Sheffield Airport, with Flybe (Flybe.com). You are welcome to fly out to Jersey Friday 3rd and back on Tuesday 7th, or if you can only spend a shorter period on the island, you will still be most welcome.
You will need to arrange your own accommodation.
I will probably BBQ every evening either on the beach or somewhere convenient.
We will look at our transport needs on the island once we know who is joining us, where people are staying and where we will walk from and to. In general the island is serviced by excellent bus services.
For more information, help and advice about accommodation, the weekend in general and the likely walks contact Jersey Mark 07850 335588; email@example.com
