Route: We head out of the village via The Limestone Way till we get to Fern dale where we head down the dale and into Lathkill Dale. We then head up the side of the dale towards Ricklow Quarry & keep high until we come to Mill Dale where head down & join Lathkill Dale. We now head for Alport, at this point we will be walking on the pavement for a short distance & cross the road heading up the side of the hill towards Baltic Wood. We will then head towards Over Haddon passing ‘Norton Barn Trig’ we need to give it a hug on the way; it’s the right thing to do.
Onwards to Bole Hill, where there is another trig Bole Hill trig but it’s on private land so we’ll have to give it a miss, I can tell you’re already sad about missing this one. We will pass through Magpie Mine, stopping to admire the huge chimney & then it’s the last leg towards Monyash where beer awaits at reasonable prices in The Bulls Head.

Route: From the car park, we wander over to Moscar Lodge before shunning Stanedge and instead taking the lower route across Bamford Edge. Down the recently re-opened Clough Rd into Bamford. Then Bamford Mill, the old railway track and back via Heatherdene. Warning - this might be scenic.

Start Point Location: The lay-by on the A57 just above Cutthroat Bridge. It is on the left if travelling from Sheffield, as you descend the hill, approx. 1mile from Ladybower Reservoir. If you pass the Ladybower Inn on your right you've gone too far!

Route: From Hayfield we go down the Sett trail and then ascent Lantern Pike (steep in places!) Then various tracks to Charleswoth Road.Short road walk to Mill Hill path then to Mill Hill via crash site. Then down intermittent footpath to the shooting hut. Snake path back to Hayfield.

Start Point Location: Hayfield Countryside Centre, Station Road, Hayfield, High Peak, Derbyshire , just off A624, pay and display car park, otherwise there is free parking on some of the roads in Hayfield village.

Route: A great walk along the beautiful Bradford and Lathkill rivers in the Derbyshire Dales. We walk down first to the river Bradford and along through Bradford Dale to Alport. We will then walk along the river Lathkill as far as Cales Dale before walking back up steep steps and across fields to the start. If we are lucky, we might see dippers on the Lathkill and if very lucky kingfishers on the Bradford. Drinks in Youlgreave afterwards.

Start Point Location: Moor Lane picnic site free car park, West of Youlgreave. Note that this is NOT the car park in Youlgreave. The post code is not near the car park.
From Youlgreave, turn right onto Moor Lane after the Bulls Head. Continue up Moor Lane almost to the end and the car park is on your left. It is free.
