Route: We walk from Baslow through the Chatsworth estate to
Edensor,up and over and down to Pilsley.We then walk back to
Baslow via fields and paths. There are some good open views to
enjoy throughout this walk.

Start Point Location: Baslow Car Park - Nether End. Pay and Display Car Park off Church Lane. There may also be some parking in side roads nearby. You may find on street parking up and around Eaton Place if you arrive early. Parking is £6.20 in the Car Park

Route: We start with a steady uphill climb out of Eyam to Sir William Hill, then it’s an undulating walk to lunch in Great Hucklow (pub - sorry, not dog friendly, including in the garden). If it’s a clear day we’ll have great views, especially from our tea stop by the highest pub in Derbyshire.

After lunch it’s a fairly flat walk back to Eyam via Grindlow and Foolow.

As it’s Christmas, please wear your silly hats, antlers, red nose or anything to remind us that it’s Christmas Eve!

Toilets at start (honesty box for donations).

Pub or tea shop at the end for a Christmas tipple after we’ve changed our boots and offloaded our rucksacks.

Start Point Location: Eyam Parish 'Free' car park on Hawkhill Road .Car Park: Follow the blue P car park signs to Eyam Parish 'Free' car park on Hawkhill Road just up the hill on right after the Pay and Display car park and toilets on right and the museum on left. Please note the back road sometimes used as a short-cut from Grindleford to Eyam (B6521 New Road) is permanently closed owing to subsidence so plan your journey accordingly (eg via Calver Sough). Donation box by the gate.

Two events on the same day; choose the walk, or the concert, or both.
Chesterfield has many works of public art in all sorts of nooks
and crannies in streets, parks, squares, and on buildings that
Mick will structure an Art Trail morning walk, to start at 10.30
am and finish about 1.00 pm with refreshments at a place of
your choice - we found a nice bar/cafe last time - and then we
can go to The New Year Viennese Gala Concert at 3pm staged
by Sheffield Symphony Orchestra in The Winding Wheel Theatre
- meet up in the bar beforehand at about 2.30pm .

Route: Information about the flooded landscape, the sites of a Roman villa, a deserted medieval village, and an Anglo-Saxon church and the sad tale of William Oddy. Information and stories on a delightful walk to the north and west of Tickhill. There will be a brief stop for refreshments. The length will be either 5.5 or 6.5 miles, depending on time
